Mir schwebte am Anfang des Projektes ein elegantes Sofa vor; ein Möbel das von allen Seiten eine „Gute Figur“ macht. Es sollte sehr leicht und dünn sein und trotzdem Komfort bieten. So entstand ein erstes Bild von einer sich aus flachen Kissen lose zusammensetzenden Sitzgelegenheit. Im laufe des Projektes entwickelte sich aus diesem ersten Bild der Kissen die Grundlage für den modularen Aufbau der Folia-Serie.

What I had in mind at the beginning of the project was a elegant sofa, a piece of furniture that would have a nice aspect from all angles. The sofa should be delicate and lightweight and very comfortable at the same time. The first image was that of a seating object composed of low, loosely joined cushions. As the project progressed that set of cushions turned into the basis of the modular construction of the Folia series.
